Best 5 Shopify upsell apps compared in 2026

A useful upsell makes the original purchase better: an upgrade, a matching accessory or a bundle that makes sense. We compare five Shopify apps by where they show offers, how their pricing works and the kind of store each one suits. Upsell.com is our preferred starting point for merchants who want several offer placements in one app.

At a glance: five Shopify upsell apps

Prices are in USD. Ratings, review counts and advertised plans were checked on the Shopify App Store on September 22, 2026. Pricing, allowances and features can change; check the linked listing before installing.

This comparison is based on the linked product listings, not a hands-on performance test. Best-for labels and our preferred pick are editorial judgments. Upsell.com links use a referral link, and we may earn a commission if you sign up through it. Screenshots for all five apps were taken inside the apps.

Upsell.com brings product recommendations and offers across the buying journey into one app. Its Shopify listing is named ReConvert post purchase upsell.

We prefer Upsell.com for a store that wants to connect offers before and after checkout. Its range of placements makes it a useful starting point when you have several complementary products and want one place to develop your upsell strategy.

The free tier lists a limit of 50 orders or $50 in upsell revenue. Growth starts at $9.99/month, with pricing tied to store orders or upsell revenue; confirm the applicable tier as volume grows. Checkout upsells require Shopify Plus.

Start with one relevant offer and measure its contribution to profit. A broader feature list is useful only when the offers fit your catalogue, checkout and fulfilment process.

  • Coverage: product, cart and post-purchase placements.
  • Iteration: A/B testing and analytics for improving offers.
  • Good fit: merchants building a connected upsell strategy.
  • Before you install: check plan eligibility and the pricing tier for your store.

What to look for in a Shopify upsell app

Choose an app around the offer you want to make. A product bundle, a cart add-on and an offer after payment solve different problems, so a single overall ranking cannot replace checking your own store.

  • Offer placement: decide whether the shopper should see the offer on a product page, in the cart or after checkout. Match the timing to the decision they are making.
  • Plan and checkout fit: confirm which placements work with your Shopify plan and payment setup. Test the purchase flow you actually use, including mobile and accelerated checkout.
  • Real cost: compare the billing basis as well as the headline price. Total store orders, generated revenue and bundle sales can lead to different costs as the store grows.
  • Margin: include the discount, app fee, shipping and fulfilment cost when judging an offer. Extra revenue alone does not tell you whether the order is more profitable.
  • Catalogue and inventory: choose products that genuinely belong together and check how bundles, variants, stock changes and returns are handled.
  • Measurement: start with a simple offer. Track acceptance, average order value, conversion and profit before adding more placements.
